Why UAE Heat Matters More Than Mileage

Most golf cart maintenance advice is written for milder climates. In the UAE, sustained temperatures above 40°C for months at a time put more stress on batteries, tires, and rubber seals than distance driven ever will. A cart that's driven lightly but left in direct sun all summer often needs more attention than one used daily but garaged or shaded.

Battery Care

Park in shade or a covered area whenever possible — direct summer sun on a parked cart raises internal battery temperature well beyond ambient. Avoid charging immediately after a hot drive; let the pack cool first if it's noticeably warm. Tires

Brakes

Hydraulic brake fluid and seals age faster under sustained heat. Have brakes checked at each service interval, and don't ignore a soft pedal or longer stopping distance — both are early signs worth addressing before summer, not during it.

Upholstery and Interior

UV exposure fades and dries out seating material faster in the UAE than almost anywhere else. A simple cover when the cart isn't in use extends the life of seats and trim significantly, especially for carts parked outdoors.
